Halco, a long-time NCA Vendor Member and leading supplier of Santa Claus costumes and related merchandise, has been sold to Morris Costumes. Morris is owned by Oriental Trading Co.
Terri Greenberg, Halco’s owner, says the company inventory has been moved to Morris’ location in Charlotte, North Carolina. Otherwise, however, customers should not experience any differences because of the change in ownership, she says.
Greenberg announced the sale of her company in an email to the NCA: “As you know, my MS isn’t going to get better, so I decided after 30 years in my family business it’s time to retire! I sold the company to Morris Costumes-Oriental Trading Corp. I’m staying on as a consultant and I am confident that Morris Costumes will continue to run HALCO as it has been, with the same vendors, same discounts, same quality. It's bittersweet as I will miss the amazing friends I've met through the NCA, as well as loved the 20+ years I spent on the Board of Directors. Thanking the entire NCA Family for the opportunity to meet and work with the best of the best.”
