Were you looking forward to seeing friends and learning about new products at the Halloween & Party Expo in January? Well, unpack your bags. The event, just like almost every other big event in these COVID times, will be virtual. Here is the letter the organizers sent out:
We hope this letter finds you and your families healthy and safe.
We are reaching out today to announce that the upcoming edition of the Halloween & Party Expo, scheduled to take place January 22-24, 2021 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas in Dallas, Texas as well as the co-located HAuNTcon event will now pivot to a virtual event for the Halloween, party, celebration and haunt community.
This has been a difficult decision but we continue to put the health, safety and wellbeing of our team, customers, partners, family and friends above all other priorities and those values remain most important to us. In light of both governmental direction and general public health advisories a face-to-face event will not be possible with the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the government issued State of Disaster in Texas.
We have been talking with retailers and exhibitors over the past few months and we know the impact COVID-19 has had on our communities and your business, however we always return to the strong, future-proof tradition of Halloween and the joy and celebration it brings. With your feedback, the team at the Halloween & Party Expo and the Halloween & Costume Association are excited to build a new virtual opportunity that provides you with the resources you need for a successful 2021 season – including the ability to discover new products, connect with fellow retailers and new exhibitors, and find business best practices and the tools you need to stand out from your competition.
Please stay tuned over the upcoming months for information on this new virtual opportunity as well as the 2022 edition of the Halloween & Party Expo.
As always, we will look to the industry for their feedback on how we can best serve their business. If you need anything, have specific questions or just need to chat – you can always contact us. We look forward to seeing you in the future!
