While many states are lifting stay-at-home orders and allowing businesses to re-open, nothing is likely going to be “business as usual” for some time. And whatever the next several months bring, masks are going to be a big part of the picture for your customers and local businesses in your community. Here are two ideas that could help you line up mask sales.
*Jump on the Virtual Graduation Bandwagon. Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey are among the celebs planning graduation speeches for 2020 seniors. Why not make your shop part of the festivities, too? Create “Class of 2020” facemasks using fabrics in your local high school’s colors, post pictures and buying info on your social media platforms, and let the school know you have them, too. They might even pop to buy a mask for each graduating senior! The masks will become treasured keepsakes unlike any other graduation memorabilia around!
*Reach out to local businesses whose employees must wear masks. Restaurants, for example, are starting to re-open and all front- and back-of-house staff will have to wear masks to comply with new safety recommendations. Could your shop become their source for masks—maybe custom made with the restaurant’s logo on the front?
