1,000 Mask Challenge Logo
America’s costumers have stepped up to the challenge! Participants in the NCA 1,000 Mask Challenge have donated 890 masks to healthcare organizations and have committed to making 1,050 more.
“I’m totally impressed -- but not surprised -- by the industrious and generosity of the costuming industry during this crisis,” says Ed Avis, NCA’s executive director.
As of April 10, costume shop owners and other costuming industry pros who have completed and donated masks include Pam Markel, owner of Illusive Skull Costume Company in Fairmont, West Virginia; Ashley Ward, owner of Eastern Costume Company in Salisbury, North Carolina; and costumer Lisa Bobotas in Virginia Beach, Virginia; and others.
